About Us

We are a wooded & secluded 40 acre campground, surrounded by prairie and beautiful nature landscapes. We are located on a gravel road about 12 miles from the junction of I-90 and I-35, just south of Albert Lea, MN. With absolutely no freeway noise, we are the place to get away for the weekend! We are also just minutes away from Diamond Jo Casino.
We have a total of 99 sites. We offer 11 short-stay weekend sites. Two of these are pull-thru with a dimension of 27' by 120' and have 50 amp hookups. The other 12 are 54' x 60' and have 30 amp hookups. All sites have water, electric, and sewer hookups as well as fire pits and picnic tables. All water hookups are soft-water!!

We have crafts & wagon rides, bingo and bag tournaments every weekend for kids as well as additional activities on theme/holiday weekends! Our huge swimming pool is a huge hit with kids. Kids also love our huge playground, sandbox, horseshoe pits, basketball hoop, and volleyball net.

Hickory Hills welcomes visitors to come and enjoy the grounds with registered campers, we just ask that they stop at the lodge and register, there is a $5.00 per person fee or a family pass for $15.00 to stay for the day.

Diamond Jo to reopen Monday

Diamond Jo Casino announced this week it will reopen to the public on Monday, subject to final regulatory approval.

Gaming operations will resume at 8 a.m. Monday, along with a limited number of amenities, according to a press release. The property will temporarily operate with limited capacity in compliance with state directives.

“As we return to business in Iowa, our highest priority will be protecting the health and safety of every person who comes through our doors,” said Keith W. Henson, senior vice president of operations for Boyd Gaming. “We will meet this commitment by following a comprehensive set of safety protocols that fully meet the most stringent requirements set by local, state and federal officials.

Hansen said he is excited to welcome back guests and staff, and remains committed to offering Diamond Jo customers a memorable and fun entertainment experience in a safe environment.

Upon re-opening, Diamond Jo Casino will practice a set of comprehensive protocols aimed at protecting the health and safety of its team members and guests, including the following:

• Mandatory face coverings and temperature checks for all team members

• Social distancing requirements and capacity restrictions across all customer and team member areas, including casino floors and restaurants

• Enhanced cleaning and sanitation of all high-touch surfaces, including door handles, gaming machines, table games, handrails and elevator buttons

• Increased placement of hand sanitizer dispensers throughout properties

• Required training for all team members on safety protocols.

In compliance with state requirements, certain amenities will operate under limited capacity and operating hours.
